Position Title: Cognos Reporting Analyst

Location: Carlsbad, CA

Salary: $55.47-$56.93/Hour

Pay Range: $55.47-$56.93/Hour Duration: 4 months LOCATION Carlsbad, CA Duties: Lead a cross-functional team(s) to identify the systems needs have assigned customer group(s) and the software packages and systems platforms to meet those needs. May act as business analyst and reporting analyst for a project. Coordinate the technical efforts of other IT groups and external vendors to ensure the effective development, modification, testing and implementation of systems to meet customer needs. Develop documentation, training and other materials as needed by customers. Actively participate with customer groups in the planning for longer-term systems enhancements. May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned. This position interacts with all levels of internal customers and external vendors. That interaction requires excellent oral communication and customer service skills in identifying business needs and facilitating the implementation of technical solutions. Effectiveness in this role also requires thorough working knowledge of the customer’s operations, company systems and the ability to identify opportunities for new or improved systemization. The incumbent works on problems of diverse scope and moderate to high complexity where analysis of data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined procedures. The incumbent normally receives minimal instruction on routine work and general instruction on new assignments.  Required Skills Strong Cognos 8.2 and 8.4 experience is required 5+ years of Cognos experience in report studio, framework manager, dash boarding and transformer. Additional experience is required Cognos SDK, Bursting and executive reporting. Good oracle, sql query writing skills, Siebel knowledge is required Should have excellent analytical and communication skills in working with users to gather requirements and for creating self service dashboards based on Cognos reports tool Experience in Sales and CRM subject area is plus Additional experience on E1/SAP systems is a plus MUST HAVE SOLID COMMUNICATION SKILLS  Education: Bachelor Degree and 5+ years of experience
