Job Title: CLS Health Nurse – 11910

Job Location: Oneonta, NY

Duration: 11 Months

Pay Rate: Pays up to $21/hr DOE

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. With overtime as required some nights/weekends. Expectation is that hours will be flexed to afford visibility to all 3 shifts, 7AM – 3PM, 3PM – 11PM, 11PM – 7AM.



·         Daily interaction with employees who need health services. Priority is on work-related or company managed topics

·         Disability Process – work with insurance carrier, Corning benefits and employee to provide proper guidance through the disability process and help manage their return to work program

·         Workers Compensation – work with insurance carrier, medical providers, physical therapist and employee to track cases and ensure effective case management

·         Track and manage FMLA requests and approvals/denials based on medical information and company/legal protocol

·         Facilitate employee illness/injury treatment

·         Complete incident reports (IRT forms) and follow up

·         Coordinate care with provider(s) for work related conditions (illness/injury)- PIIM Program management and Primary Care Provider for non-work related illness/injury

·         Research and identify best practice guidelines/SOP for injury/illness treatment

·         Maintain employee medical files and ensure applicable privacy and confidentiality rules are enforced

·         External interaction with Medical providers as necessary

·         Internal interaction with employees and department leadership

·         Strong daily linkage with the safety organization to review safety incidents

·         Drug and Alcohol resource in managing process to ensure chain of custody is properly administered

·         Overall responsibility for managing medical inventory

·         Prioritizes daily work of Medical administrative support



Minimum Qualifications

·         RN or COHN with 3-5 years of experience

·         Experience with processes related to Workers Compensation, Disability process & FMLA

·         Good administrative skills and effective ability to multi-task

·         Understanding how to prevent and manage Occupational related injuries

·         People Skills; Good demeanor with customers and ability to effectively interact with others

·         Self-directed and motivated



·         PC proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint

·         Strong presentation skills

·         Creative in promoting health and safety activities

·         Experience working in a manufacturing environment

·         Soft Skills: Team Player, Strong communication and presentation skills, Ability to Network, Confidentiality
