Contract Duration: 10 Months
Under general direction, develop solutions to a variety of financial matters. Responsibilities include monthly project revenue and earnings recognition, analysis of financial data, comparing budget to actual performance; corporate reporting, unbilled and backlog analysis, overhead variances and internal financial reporting.
Analyzes and articulates financial results to financial and program management teams relating to bookings, cash, sales, profit and any program risk or opportunities.
· Performs financial, accounting or planning activities, investigation, coordination and analysis.
· Support key financial reviews.
· Using Continuous Process Improvement and Lean Principles, identifies and assists with implementation of process and productivity improvements.
· Using Excel perform various functions (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivots tables, etc…).
Performs other duties as required.
Requires excellent critical thinking and analytic skills. Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral) and experience interfacing across functional disciplines. Required desktop skills including MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). CostPoint or another ERP system experience is helpful. B.A in Accounting or Finance along with two - three years’ experience is required. Work experience in project accounting environment or an aerospace/defense environment is useful.
