Duties:

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Manager of the Inquiry-to-Order Team, an Associate Project Manager will be responsible for tracking and resolving all of the day to day issues regarding the management of custom inquiries. The Associate Project Manager is responsible for working with the other members of the Inquiry-to-Order team to ensure accurate and timely information is provided to the customer. The Associate Project Manager may be assigned small projects under the guidance of the Sr Project Manger.
Manage all cell culture custom inquiries. Serve as single point of contact for customers and perform as the customer advocate for our internal processes. Accountable for building customer relationships, capturing customer need accurately, working closely with Account Managers to secure business, and supplying timely responses to customer requests.
Work with Customer Service, Chemical Formulations, Packaging Engineering, Accounting, and Pricing to ensure timely and accurate quotes to customers. Daily goal is to meet or exceed inquiry-to-quote turn around times, customer service level targets, inquiry-to-order conversion rate goals, and making decisions to support the revenue goals for the business.
Responsible for data quality in the Agile Custom Order Database and for maintaining a professional communication style via all channels with our internal and external customers. Required to highlight client issues and risks to meeting commitments to customers and for escalating as appropriate.
May be required to run reports, analyze data, develop presentations, lead customer conference calls, and participate in or lead customer audits.
Accountable for the successful resolution of action items from customer audits, conference calls and other miscellaneous requests. Additionally, the APM will have to develop and execute project plans for small projects with input from the Sr. Program Managers.
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication/customer service skills. Interpersonal skill sets and experience should include: dealing with conflict in a team environment, successful communication with external customers, escalating issues to senior management when necessary. Must have a working technical knowledge of the biotech industry.
The ideal candidate should have experience interacting with customers and proactively resolving issues or participating in cross-functional project teams. They should have a minimum of 4 years customer experience and/or 2 years of project management experience.
Formal training regarding the basics of Project Management methodology and the use of those tools preferred but not required.
Preferred candidate should have B.S./B.A. in the Sciences or Engineering (Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Engineering) with 1-3 years of technical experience. High School diploma or equivalent is required for this role. With this the candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of biotechnology experience.
Must be a good team player, an effective communicator, and have an ability to address customer needs for order processing. Should have an intellectual curiosity and be results oriented.
