KEO is an experienced developer of integrated and stabilized, high-performance optronic
sensor, antenna, masts and weapon control systems for defense applications. Company KEO has the
capability to accept any electro-optical or motion control challenge and then design to it, build it,
test it, and stand behind it
As a Supplier Operations Engineer at Company KE, you will use your developed knowledge of a
supplier's implemented process control and inspection planning effectiveness. You will
aggressively work to reduce the non-value added expense associated with KEO receiving
inspection and purchased material. Our Supplier Operations Engineer will be expected to work
with our suppliers to improve OTD performance and facilitate production cost and lead time
Understand the factors which, both positively and negatively, affect our supplier’s ability
to deliver compliant parts to KEO, on time.
Establish a comprehensive understanding of the capabilities and capacities of their
assigned suppliers, as a basis for improvement project recommendations.
Ensure the most advantageous utilization of our current qualified supplier base in
support of the KEO’s goals and objectives.
Work with KEO’s Purchasing Organization to identify capable and interested second
sources, ready to provide a competitive option.
Champion inter and intra-company cross-functional Engineering activities throughout the
entire product lifecycle, including:
o Information flow (RFQs, production progress updates, risk and mitigation activity,
o Quality (OQE, contractual requirements flow down, process control monitoring,
incoming inspection planning)
Supplier Operations Engineer
o Manufacturing (Manufacturing Readiness Reviews, production floor assembly
method considerations, material handling, fixturing, testing plans)
o Design Engineering (prototype to production translation, material selection,
tolerancing, target dimension considerations, manufacturability and reliability).
Serve as an advocate to suppliers when at KEO and represent KEO business interests
when working with these suppliers.
Establish effective internal systems and processes to track supplier performance
Monitor supplier performance and facilitate improvement projects using KEO KPI’s as a
basis for prioritization and maintain total internal and external customer awareness.
Support the receipt and processing of purchased material.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
Must have 5 + years’ relevant operations experience
Must have a continuous improvement mind-set
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 principles
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to travel up to 25% to supplier facilities
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances to
access sensitive defense information
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management or other
