Pay Range: TBD Duration: 9/16/2009 – 07/15/2010    LOCATION Carlsbad, CA Duties: Contributes to the success of generating demand, supporting the global brand and determining optimal channel utilization. Become familiar with the needs, and driving influences of the biotechnology customer, and biotechnology industry, respectively; from both a product and marketing message standpoint. Help execute and perform subsequent analysis of data from marketing campaigns, from which the preparation of reports and recommendations for future ventures might be required. Interact frequently with the sales team, addressing account specific needs and campaigns if required. Understands analytical, operational, marketing or technical concepts. Predominately works on tasks/duties that are considered relatively routine to diverse in nature, using developing technical and/or business knowledge. Has a strong ability to adapt to change very quickly, due to the dynamic nature of the scope of projects covered by the Regional Marketing group. Good prioritization capabilities, with an ability to see a task through to completion, despite the other project demands.  Required Skills „X Assist with marketing and sales activities of the channel related to promotional programs and operations „X Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned Skills Required: „X Understands analytical, operational, marketing concepts with the ability to exercise judgment within generally defined procedures. „X Predominately works on tasks/duties that are diverse in nature using business knowledge. „X Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) „X Good organizational skills and prioritization capabilities with an ability to see a task through to completion. „X Strong oral and written communication skill to provide appropriate information „X Applicant will be expected to work independently with little instruction on routine work but more detail instruction on new assignments Experience „X Prior experience or education in marketing, project coordination, sales analysis „X Additional experience in life science or marketing is highly beneficial „X Demonstrated analytical skills „X Demonstrated skills in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint  Education: Requires a BA or BS in a life science discipline or equivalent experience.
