Duties: Overview

  • The Marketing Automation Specialist position will be part of an experienced Americas field marketing support team and will have a hands-on role in designing, building and executing automated digital marketing campaigns.
  • The successful candidate will play a proactive role in the business by working in close collaboration with campaign managers, field marketing managers and other cross-functional team members to understand the business goals and make recommendations for optimized demand programs.

We seek someone who is capable of understanding marketing campaign objectives, is great at managing deadlines and is extremely detail-oriented. The Marketing Automation Specialist will ensure consistent campaign execution to accelerate demand generation productivity. This candidate will work closely and collaboratively with a variety of teams including Global Demand and Marketing Operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other members of the field marketing team to determine goals, target segments, campaign flows, creative and metric requirements for each campaign tactic – all driving toward field demand and account engagement.
  • Translate business requirements into campaign tactic technical requirements and make recommendations based on best practices.
  • Plan, create, deploy, and monitor automated field demand marketing campaigns using Eloqua and associated tools in the marketing automation stack  -- including email nurture programs, scoring programs, trigger, and drip-based automated email communications, ad hoc email campaigns, as well as webinar and event programs.
  • Develop testing strategies for template formats, subject lines and landing pages.
  • Understand target audiences to execute segmentation for outbound communications Participate in database health and growth initiatives.
  • Ensure processes are in place to maintain the integrity of the database.
  • Gather results for all email campaigns and activities and report back on those results Assist in training field marketing teams to ensure adoption & scale of marketing automation technology Understand bilateral data structures with SalesForce and Marketing automation systems Analyze data and identify possible process improvements and system enhancements to automated marketing programs that maximize efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness.

Skills: Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing automation administration, developing and implementing marketing campaigns, utilizing Salesforce.com along with a marketing automation tool (Eloqua preferred) Process-oriented thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a desire to lead projects
  • Excellent communicator and team player Superb attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize work Good understanding of analytics and reporting Awareness of current marketing trends and technologies HTML & CSS proficiency preferred.
  • Comfortable working with global stakeholders to drive results
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Communications, preferred
