Position Title: Associate Scientist I

Duration: ASAP - 01/12/2011   Duties: This is a manufacturing position in a large scale oligonucleotide synthesis, dye labeling, and HPLC purification lab. Candidate should have a background in solid phase chemistry with strong experience in oligonucleotide synthesis and purification. Initial responsibilities include assisting development personnel in producing oligos, developing procedures and SOPs, performing process verification and transferring newly developed processes and procedures to manufacturing. This person will then become part of the manufacturing team in making large scale oligonucelotides using the established processes and procedures in a dynamic manufacturing environment.  Skills: The candidate should have at least a couple years of experience in a high demanding development/manufacturing environment synthesizing and purifying oligoucleotides. A BS or MS degree is required in the life science area with experience in chemistry and separation. He or she should able to multi-task, work efficiently and communicate well within a team. Education: Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or other related discipline or the equivalent knowledge and experience.
