Description:
An electrical engineering position with an emphasis on FPGA development. Candidate must have experience with the design of mixed signal circuit boards, processing hardware, embedded processor integration, circuit board power supplies, and high speed digital design with FPGA integration. In addition, the successful candidate shall have demonstrated abilities in the development of FPGA equations using VHDL or Verilog and either Altera Quartus II or Xilinx ISE Foundation design tools. Candidate must have a proven track record in the full product lifecycle from an R&D perspective including design documentation, quick turn prototyping, ushering product into full scale production with test set development and verification/validation, and the support of production and customer issues. Demonstrated ability operating under FDA GMP, ISO 9001, or other controlled environment is desirable. Good communication, organizational and people skills a must.
Skills:
• Experience in FPGA equation development (VHDL, and/or Verilog) and associated toolsets (Altera, Xilinx, 3rd party synthesis tools, etc.).
• Experience with the design of circuit board subassemblies with support for full product lifecycle.
• Experience with product lifecycle documentation (e.g. specifications, hazard analysis, design reviews, verification, validation, BOMs, etc.) and interfacing with outsource vendors (assembly houses and consultants).
• Working knowledge of Schematic/PCB CAD tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics DxDesigner/Expedition preferred).
• Experience with ISO 9001, FDA GMP, and UL design guidelines a plus.
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s preferred.
• Requires five to ten years R&D experience.
Education:
BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree.
