Position: IT Computer Support Technician

Location: Baghdad, Iraq

Responsibilities:

- Provide complete hardware and software technical support to Client's project sites and/or Project Management Office (PMO)

- Generate documentation of various IT processes and desk procedures.

- Maintain and accurate and up-to-date inventory of IT assets and Government owned property.

- Supervise local-hire IT Personnel

- Configuration and maintenance of laptop hardware and software.

- Configuration of and maintenance desktop hardware and software.

- Maintain an organized and efficient work environment.

- Provide training to employees on the use of software. Including E-Mail, Internet, network, word processing and spreadsheet applications.

- Evaluate the needs of users to determine what new equipment\software may be needed. This includes obtaining quotes and generation of PO Requests.

- General System Administration duties. This includes User Adds, applying patches to the servers and the installation of new hardware.

Skills:

• Must have proven communication skills. Written and oral.
• Must be personable and have a good rapport with Company Personnel
• Must be able to work independently
• Must have in depth technical knowledge of hardware and software
• Must be well organized.
• Must be able to make well thought out decisions that are in line with company goals and policy.
• A minimum of a two year degree and two years experience in computer hardware and software support
