JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a technical position to help support communication installations for interval data meters installed on new demand response sites. Project manager will be the field contact on communications related issues and other technical issues related to meter installation. PM will work with outside communication vendors to coordinate phone installation work, resolve field issues, and resolve communication related problems. Ad hoc work includes minor repairs on electronic test board used for meter testing, field training support, and documentation of process/procedures.
Required skills:
- Working knowledge of electricity and electronics
- Basic Knowledge of data communications technologies
- Basic knowledge of gas and electricity measurement principles
- Ability to safety operate electrical/electronic test equipment
- Ability to perform minor repairs on electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and electronic schematics
- Ability to read technical documents and create user manuals
- Proficiency with MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and Access
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and support fellow team members
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and strong time management skills
- Valid driver's license
- 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience
Desired skills:
- Ability to create basic computer programs
- BS in some engineering discipline
- Experience creating and delivering technical training
- SAS mainframe programming experience
