Position Title: 3723-Nuclear Training Accreditation Specialist
Location: Avila Beach, CA
Pay Rate: $60 - $80 |
Contract Duration: 1 year

**This work location has an alternating 4/10 AWS-Alternate Work Schedule.
OPEN TO CANDIDATES OUTSIDE OF SERVICE TERRITORY & OOS. ASSIGNMENT IS ON-SITE IN AVILA BEACH, CA.
JOB TITLE: Nuclear Training Accreditation Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role will support Power Plan Learning Services department, including all accredited training programs in Operations, Maintenance, and Technical training.
- Supports the maintenance of National Nuclear Accrediting Board accreditation for applicable training programs from the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), including coordination of accrediting board preparation activities and assist/lead authoring of the accreditation self-evaluation report (ASER).
- Provides guidance and support to training supervisors and staff to ensure compliance with Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) accreditation guidelines and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations.
- Designs, develops, implements and manages instructor-training programs, including conducting initial and continuing instructor training that ensures a competent instructional staff.
- Develops self-assessment plans and coordinates the self-assessment process for the training department, including preparation documents for the Training Challenge Board.
- Develops, maintains and implements the systematic approach to training (SAT) procedures and handbook guidance.
- Performs instructor evaluations, including evaluation of instructor of performance data and recommend appropriate actions.
- Develops, implements, and manages performance indicators and metrics to maintain National Nuclear Accrediting Board accreditation.
- May manage projects or initiatives.
- Solves moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
Desired Education: Degree in Education or equivalent
Minimum Experience: Three years of experience supporting a training program as an instructor or equivalent (NOTE: a Degree or Masters in education, communication, or equivalent may be counted as part of the experience. Nuclear Naval Training experience may be counted as part of the experience.)
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) ACAD guidelines
- Knowledge of the self-assessment process
- Knowledge of the National Nuclear Accrediting Board renewal process
- Knowledge of performance indicators
- Ability to coordinate a training program
- Ability to run a meeting using Facilitative leadership
- Ability to write reports
